Drums Along the Mohawk (1939)

Directed by John Ford, is a historical drama set during the American Revolutionary War. The film follows newlyweds Gil (Henry Fonda) and Lana Martin (Claudette Colbert) as they settle on the frontier in New York's Mohawk Valley. Their hopes for a peaceful life are disrupted by the turmoil of war, including attacks by Native American allies of the British.
