LUCASFILM Desperate to keep STAR WARS REY Movie Alive Following Another Setback

Since the announcement of the new Rey Star Wars movie the production has been struggling with keeping a writer.

Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy, is adamant that this movie gets made despite Lucasfilm seemingly having no idea what they’re going to do with it. The production has been able to maintain feminist documentary filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, as the movies director. However, every time a new writer is brought on, they go back and forth with Kennedy over the script before leaving the project. Kennedy was a huge supporter over the divisive messaging in The Acolyte and it appears she wants to continue down that path even if the writers don’t.
