‘The Counterparty’ hosts an expansive and spicy conference program, in Miami this weekend

Can a conference provoke for all the right reasons?

At Miami’s disruptive ideas conference, nothing seems to be off the table – from the two-party system, home-schooling, bitcoin, living off-the-grid, true health freedom, psychedelics, spirituality and tantric sex.

Miami, FL: Today marks the start of Miami’s first disruptive ideas conference ‘The Counterparty’ January 25 - 26, providing a sanctuary for curious minds, truth seekers, artists, crypto, privacy and freedom advocates – challenging the issues of our time.

Let’s be frank. Many Miami and crypto conferences are often overpriced, overhyped and underdeliver. They’re diluted by red-tape, where bold ideas have to battle it out with funding incentives, programming or venue constraints and personal agendas. But what if being disruptive, contrarian and counter-culture are embedded in the very DNA of an event?

With a clear agenda to challenge and provoke, ‘The Counterparty’ conference is set out to be exactly that. ‘The Counterparty’ presents an expansive roster of international visionaries, authors, privacy experts, freedom activists, crypto founders and health experts; all appearing in-person.

Taking over the relaxed, 9Beach in Miami January 25 - 26, for a weekend of conversation, stimulation and provocation, ‘The Counterparty’ debuts in Miami, the major events capital of the east coast, to set – or reset – the current news agenda, from a freedom perspective.

Presented by freedom activist, crypto pioneer and singer-songwriter, Tatiana Moroz; backed by the first metaprotocol by the same name, Counterparty, the conference creates a sanctuary for those wanting to cut through the noise, ask hard questions and engage in unfiltered discourse – about the most challenging issues of our time. With the ultimate goal for attendees to become more enlightened about self-reliance with the help of cutting-edge technologies, practical solutions, newer energy options, health and education practices.

“At a time when we’re surrounded by suppression of truth and freedom, where information is cheap and shallow, we need a place where people can come and be curious together. Ultimately be inspired in an alternative future they control,” said Conference Director, singer-songwriter and crypto pioneer Tatiana Moroz.

A space safe from hype. Safe to listen and ask questions. A space with real experts from all disciplines. The Counterparty is here to be that space. “The line-up won’t please everybody nor does it aim to, but it’ll be a place for anyone to get curious about the uncomfortable truths,” Moroz added.

Attendees will have opportunities to learn about Bitcoin, privacy, health, art, homeschooling, permaculture, tantric sex, psychedelics and more, without judgement or pre-existing knowledge. Achieving autonomy and true freedom, holistically, will be debated, as community networks are forged and strengthened through real-talk.

“What ‘The Counterparty’ offers is a precious moment in real-time with 50+ thought leaders and visionaries who will bring next-level discussion, likely some discourse, and definitely some hope. Learning more about the world we are making and unmaking is a choice, and I can’t wait for attendees to discover new ideas and thinkers over the weekend,” added Moroz.

Brainchild of Conference Director, Tatiana Moroz, the first music artist to leverage blockchain tech, Counterparty (XCP) over a decade ago. The keynote address will be delivered by Mike Benz, Executive Director of Foundation for Freedom Online and Former State Department of Cyber. There will be opportunities to speak directly with artists who pioneered tokenization of art, on-chain. Attendees will have a chance to participate in the auction of a historical Counterparty timeline by Davesta with Scarce City.

The artwork showcase will include a never-before-seen hand drawing and letter by Ross Ulbricht, recently pardoned Silk Road founder, created for Tatiana as a gift while he was imprisoned. First-hand stories from those that contributed to the 10+ years of campaigning for Ross will celebrate his release, along with live music and a pizza happy hour sponsored by Pizza DAO.

“The Counterparty conference is a testament to the generous support and vision of some brave and fearless sponsors, changing the world every day, including: Cake Wallet, FIO protocol, FreeRoss/SOL Omnity network, Piratechain, Pizza DAO and Zano ecosystem,” Moroz added.

Conference Director Moroz will perform her latest Bitcoin songs including “Never Give Up”, joined by an eclectic range of musicians including Freenauts and Mr. Darius plus surprise guests. They will discuss their recent experiences navigating Web3. Saturday night kicks off with a dating event while Sunday wraps up with live music for attendees, organizers, and speakers.
