Paddling Lake Wheeler Frozen

The goal was an early morning paddle from Lake Wheeler up Swift Creek, but it was 21 degrees and the lake was frozen. Instead I paddled on the lake a bit and tried to break some ice to make it there. Ice was about half an inch thick and I only made it about 15 yards.
