Crocodiles Witnesses of prehistoric times

The crocodile is a terrestrial vertebrate. There are 26 different species. The crocodile can grow from 1.2 metres to 6.7 metres. The smaller species of crocodile weigh around 100 kilos, while the larger species can weigh up to 1000 kilos. The crocodiles have a laterally flattened tail and high-set eyes as well as high-set nostrils. Their laterally flattened tail enables them to move quickly in the water and their raised nostrils and eyes allow them to submerge almost completely and still be able to look out and breathe. They also have very hard scaly armour. Crocodiles live in the tropics and subtropics. They spend most of their time in the water, which is why they live in lakes and rivers. One species of crocodile, the inguinal crocodile, even lives in the sea of Australia and other nearby islands. Crocodiles feed mainly on fish and smaller animals such as frogs. Sometimes they also eat the young of other crocodiles. Smaller species of crocodile live to be about 30 years old and larger ones live up to 70 years. The oldest crocodile in human care lived to be 115 years old. Have you ever seen a crocodile in the wild? Let me know it in the comments. I would be very happy about a like and subscription.

I am constantly creating videos about mythical creatures and general facts about animals.
