Caracas (OrinocoTribune.com)—Orinoco Tribune interviews Palestinian scholar and activist Khaled Barakat, joining us directly from Beirut, Lebanon.
At almost a year since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, the Palestinian resistance continues on its path towards the liberation of Palestine, while the Zionist entity continues to commit genocide in Gaza and has expanded the war to Lebanon.
While the United States and its allies, as usual, defend the Zionist entity’s “right to defend itself” and even its “right to exist” and keep sending weapons and warships to the settler-colonial regime, the Axis of Resistance in West Asia is providing moral and material support for the Palestinians. Among these Axis of Resistance members, Lebanon features prominently, with Hezbollah accompanying its Palestinian counterparts since Day 1. Consequently, throughout this period, Lebanon has been as much a target of the Zionist entity as Gaza, and the situation has escalated rapidly in recent days, with Zionist electronic terrorism in Lebanon, assassination of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, combats on the southern border, and massacres of civilians and bombardment of civilian infrastructure throughout the territory. Nevertheless, the Axis of Resistance has not refrained from responding in kind, the latest being Iran’s missile strikes on the Zionist entity’s military installations as part of the Operation True Promise II.
To discuss the situation in the region and its potential impact on anti-imperialism on the global level, Orinoco Tribune’s Saheli Chowdhury and Dalal Zainab interviewed Khaled Barakat, who is associated with Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement.
