USDA releases new information on chicken farming. The number of eggs placed in incubators to produce chicks has increased in the United States.

Report says,

"Hatcheries in the United States weekly program set 249 million eggs in incubators during the week ending
January 18, 2025, up 4 percent from a year ago. Average hatchability for chicks hatched during the week in the United States was 78.9 percent. Average hatchability is calculated by dividing chicks hatched during the week by eggs set three-weeks earlier."
