Paraphrasing what I was saying in this vlog.

Hello! You all good? Happy Friday, January 24, 2025.
Welcome to Deep Dive with Dan Sellman, that is me.
Wow, What a week… related to J6 and Vitali… of course.
Am gonna explain what happened and why Vitali released delayed by 2 days. Should have been on Jan 20 when President Trump proclaimed J6ers were being released. Vitali delayed to Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Why? I am now explaining… I read Trump’s executive order (EO), pardoning J6. Whoever wrote the EO was very, very good and the language in the EO very precise. Left no holes or gaps. No mistakes or regrets. Covered everything, good. The EO indicated 3 different scenarios. Of course, not all J6ers faced the same legal scenario. J6ers encountered different legal issues/problems. 3 different scenarios.
Interesting, so, the name of the EO is Proclamation, granting pardons and commutation of Sentences for Certain Offenses Relating to the Event, s at or Near the United States Capitol on January, 6, 2021
President Trump has authority, according to the US Constitution, where? In Article 2, Section 2.
3 scenarios:
1. Commute the sentences of the following individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. A total of 14 prisoners already convicted and served time.
2. Grant a full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses
3. I further (also) direct the Attorney General to pursue dismissal with prejudice to the government of all pending indictments against individuals for their conduct related to the events.
So, which of 3 scenarios applied to Vitali’s situation? It is the scenario 3. Why? Vitali was not yet convicted. He was supposed to appear for his sentencing hearing on March 4, 2025 but President Trump signed the EO. Scenario 3 was for those who were not yet convicted or waiting for their trials to begin.,
The EO was very well written. Perfect. So, what happened with the paperwork?
Motions (documents 230-233) shown in the video explained summarily. No word from the judge… Vitali’s lawyer made a motion (document 231) on Jan 21 requesting immediate release and that DOJ had already made the motion dismissing Vitali’s case.
On Wednesday, Jan 22, Vitali’s lawyer made a motion (Document 232) indicating non-opposition to DOJ motion (document 230), sentencing hearing approaching fast and counsel must consult with experts and ASL interpreters for the hearing. Defense respectfully requests the Court rule on the Government’s motion EXPEDITIOUSLY (emphasis added).
Finally, the judge made an ORDER (document 233) at 1:31pm on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Paperwork late. Happened. Vitali was 3rd to last prisoners to leave the DC Gulag. Should have done on Jan 20. 2 days late not too bad but…still.
The Documents shown again.
Final Order from Judge so all prison wardens must see final orders from judges before they could release prisoners.
I mentioned one US attorney resigning in one of my earlier vlogs. I looked for one picture to show you what the official who oversaw the prosecution of J6ers. I found one photo, with no smile. 99% of photos of the official had a smile. The name is Matthew M. Graves. He announced he was resigning on December 30, 2024. The last day was Jan 16, 2025. Franceso was a prosecutor in the trial.
Wow, interesting week! I followed Vitali’ case for nearly over a year. When I heard Trump signed the EO on Jan20. I did not go to the DC Gulag awaiting Vitali’s release because I was at the Capitol Hill outside. I was waiting at a corner expecting Trump would be driven past the corner. Trump used a different route to the Capital One Arena for a rally.
I went to the DC Gulag on Jan 21 showing my support for j6 prisoners leaving the facility, I waited and waited, from 10am to 7pm. It was getting so cold that I left for home. Similar weather as Jan 20.
On Jan 22, I was thinking about not going back to the DC Gulag, too cold. I realized I could check the case docket on the internet (Courtlistener.org) to see if the judge had signed any paperwork releasing Vitali. So, I saw these documents (230-233). My eyes widened. Earlier in the morning, Vitali and I had been sending messages to each other. So, I immediately left the house.

I parked my car 2 blocks from the DC Gulag. I was walking down the street, immediately saw Vitali surrounded by 2 or 3 supporters. Almost the same time, a deaf friend, Tom showed up. I shook hands with Vitali. We kept on celebrating with already-released J6ers on a sidewalk and went to a nearby restaurant (see my short videos).

Vitali shocked and smelt air of freedom! Almost 450 days, similar to the Iran hostages released by President Reagan, 400+ months – (I incorrectly said months, I should have said days). Also similar length of time Israeli, hostages by Hamas – 3 hostages had been freed only days earlier. Ironic! Life full of twists and turns!
I had a short conversation with Vitali in the restaurant. I don’t expect to hear from him again… for a while. 1,2, or 3 weeks before we meet again. Vitali trying to set his life straight out. And do stuff, errands.
As for Gallaudet, I think, just me, my personal thought and am not speaking for Vitali…. I think Galluadet violated and denied Vitali’s right to continue his education at Gallaudet.
Why? Vitali’s trial had not begun for nearly 2 years (March 2023) after his arrest later on Jan 17 or 18, 2021. Vitali was free until then.
So, Gallaudet should/would/could have let Vitali finish his education at Gallaudet as an undergraduate student. He had just a few credits left. He was supposed to graduate in the spring of 2021 but Galluadet blocked him. A big violation of Vitali’s civil rights. That is my opinion.
Vitali will pursue legal actions against several entities, Gallaudet included. I am noy saying more and let Vitali speak for himself.
Happy ending for all prisoners/hostages. For now, two are still in the DC Gulag. Not sure why. Maybe violent? Don’t know.
Interestingly, Vitali almost last to leave the jail. He was one of first to be indicted.
So, action by government will repeat? Hope not. You know, there are some bad actors in the government. Not only here in US but also other countries. Still what happened on that day, Jan 6, 2021. Very unnecessary… deprived of rights from those that day.
We have a right to complain, according to the 1st amendment of the US constitution.
1st amendment! Why not 5th or 10th? No, the 1st
Freedom of speech, Freedom of expression, Freedom of assembly, Petition of grievance to government. Petition was what people were doing on that day, Jan6, walking on the Capitol premises. Expressing themselves by carrying their American flags and signs.
The Government violated their 1st amendment rights that day.
Those who were never indicted, tried and sentenced still suffered as those who were. But those tried and imprisoned suffered more. They lost what they had. Loss of income, house, divorce and the like.
In Vitali’s case, he lost potential of income, lost opportunity to graduate from school on time. 4 years lost.
Sad times but happy ending for many.
Applauses to President Trump for keeping his word. He went to many rallies for 2 years saying repeatedly “I will pardon J6ers”. Trump talks the talk and he walks the walk.
Promises made.
Promises kept.
Trump is a one kind of President in history of America, yes. Many out there have agreed, already!
We are happy we gave Trump a 2nd chance to serve you and me.
He knows he works for you and me.
He works hard to keep America… safe… better… good… better… rich… healthier…
Amen?!
See you next time!
