Where were you on January 23, 1998? There it is right there in plain sight!!!

Madonna--Frozen--First relased on January 23, 1998. There she is all dressed out in BLACK for the whole world to see. My fellow teenage bratpackers and I used to be crazy about Madonna; literally danced until we dropped MANY TIMES. I first heard her singing on the radio in 1983. Her first big hits were very much of the "Teenage Bubblegum" genre; "Holiday, Celebrate", then there was "Into the Groove". All seemingly innocent and playful at first, but then came the scantily clad wardrobe and religiously symbolic jewelry and bobbles. Once the Megastar Persona took hold, things quickly descended into darkness, debauchery, and dare I say, BLASPHEMOUS toward the Roman Catholic Church. It seemed at the time to be nothing more than rebellious teenage behavior, but I do recall sensing a PROFOUND COLD DARK EMPTINESS attached to this video. Definitely, not one of my favorite manifestations of the lower case little "g" black madonna.
