Unseen Battles: Recognizing God’s Deliverance in Everyday Life

The other night, I was driving down Highway 360 after speaking at a Cindy Jacobs event. It was pouring rain—like a hurricane—and I was in a friend’s car because I had given mine to my son. So here I am, in an unfamiliar car, trying to figure out how to dim the console light while adjusting a book on the dashboard to avoid getting blinded. And then—out of nowhere—I see a car coming straight at me with no headlights on. I swerved to the right just in time, not even sure if Annabelle was behind me or ahead. I called her, and she said, “I was praying for you.” You know, “The Lord delivers us from evil” (Matthew 6:13), and sometimes, we don’t even realize what He’s delivering us from—we just maneuver around it, or He makes it visible right when we need to see it.
