Crews put out suspicious fire at vacant building

Kansas City firefighters put out a fire at an abandoned apartment building Friday morning near 40th and Harrison. The fire call came in around 2 a.m., and by the time firefighters got there the flames had spread to a second abandoned apartment building south of the first one. One man suffered first degree burns while trying to move his car away from the area, but no serious injuries were reported.
