Triumph Mocks Anti-Trumpers To Their Face - 'Your Need For Contraceptives Is Purely Hypothetical'

Posted • January 23, 2025: To paraphrase Norm Peterson from "Cheers": It's a dog-eat-dog world, and our friends on the left are wearing Milk Bone underwear. Comedy Central did something they're not often willing to do on Wednesday. "The Daily Show" in particular. They ran a lengthy segment poking fun at liberals. And they used the one comedian who could pull it off. A dog in puppet form. Triumph. For those not familiar, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is a character created and voiced by comedian Robert Smigel. Having the cover of a fake animal allows Smigel to absolutely shred the people he talks to in these man-on-the-street segments. If you want an example of this, I highly recommend watching Triumph attending a Star Wars convention for a segment with Conan O'Brien. That pup is relentless. Well, "The Daily Show" decided to have him on the streets to cover some of the anti-Trump protests on Inauguration Day. It is well worth a look.

“Here in Washington, D.C., at the People’s March, we are here with everyone in America who thinks Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski still have good on-screen chemistry," Triumph begins the segment. "This diverse crowd covers a full spectrum of literally every stage of depression." -- LMAO - Triumph the Insult Comic Dog shreds anti-Trump protesters. This is incredible. Worth a watch. "I have never seen so many people worried about losing the right to contraceptives for purely hypothetical reasons." It's hard to pick out the best insults in this over-six-minute dressdown. Is it Mr. Comic Dog noting that there is no concern over smashed windows at the Capitol because it "would require upper body strength"? Is it the recognition that women might not be there because socialist nerds probably talked to them too much about their favorite comic book characters? Maybe it's the new hats to replace the pink hats that were all the rage last time Donald Trump was in the White House?

Personally, this line does it for me: "Seriously, looking around here, I have never seen so many people worried about losing the right to contraceptives for purely hypothetical reasons." Channelling Larry the Cable Guy — I don't care who you are, that's funny right there. Towards the end, Triumph organizes a mock "storming" of a local coffee shop where he dresses like the so-called "QAnon Shaman," and the libs take back their "muffins." (…)
