Save Your Over Ripe Bananas for Another Day

These bananas are going to rot before I can use them, so it's time to deploy one of my favorite kitchen hacks ASAP! A super easy way to preserve ripe bananas for future projects is to freeze them. Simply mash the bananas, sprinkle with lemon juice, pour them into an ice tray, cover with plastic wrap, then freeze. This works great and keeps them from turning black. I like to use them later in things like Banana Bread, Cake, Pancakes, and even Breakfast Smoothies. After the Banana Cubes have frozen, store them in a sealed freezer bag in the freezer. They will stay fresh like this for up to six months, or even longer. When ready to use, simply thaw them out and incorporate into your recipes just like you would use Mashed Bananas. SWEET!!!
