Iceberg Lake: An Adventure Like No Other in Glacier National Park. Una Aventura Mágica en Glacier.

Iceberg Lake is a 9.6-mile out-and-back trail in Glacier National Park, Montana. It is generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is one of the most popular hikes in the park. The best times to visit this trail are June through October.
Iceberg Lake is named for the icebergs that float in the lake year-round. The lake is in the shadow of Mount Wilbur and gets minimal sun, keeping the water cold enough for icebergs. Many hikers love the challenge of jumping into the icy lake for a cold plunge! This route is also a great place to spot grizzly bears.
The trailhead is behind the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn in the Many Glacier section of Glacier National Park at the Iceberg Lake Ptarmigan Tunnel Trailhead. Most of the trail passes through open terrain, with most forested spots in the middle of the hike. You'll follow the Ptarmigan and Ptarmigan Falls Trails to the Iceberg Lake Trail.
