A Jealous God?

How can God be jealous? Or is bit that we have a different meaning for jealousy than they did?
Today's scriptures are:
1 Corinthians 13:4
"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up"
and 2 Corinthians 11:2
"For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
