Cerberus: The Three-Headed Mythological Beast

Cerberus, often called the "Hound of Hades," is a fearsome three-headed dog from Greek mythology. As the loyal guardian of the Underworld, Cerberus prevented the living from entering and the dead from escaping. Described as having sharp teeth, a serpent's tail, and sometimes snakes protruding from his body, Cerberus was a symbol of terror and authority. Despite his intimidating presence, Cerberus was overcome by heroes like Heracles, who captured him as one of his Twelve Labors, and Orpheus, who lulled him to sleep with music. Cerberus represents the boundary between life and death in Greek mythology.
