Covenantal Divide - Q&A with Ken Matey

It has been said, "I can do all things through a verse taken out of context." There are foundational truths found in the word of God which many of us have never learned. Many pastors and teachers have taught eisegesis (the teacher puts forth their own personal interpretation onto a text, usually based on their own ideas or biases.) This form of sharing scripture is considered a subjective interpretation of a text. Exegesis is how all scripture should be taught. This means analyzing the original context of the text to understand what the author intended to convey. Tonight, Ken Matey joins me for another bible Q&A with a focus on covenant. There are those who wish to mingle portions of scripture to fit their worldview, but this is not sound biblical teaching, this is eisegesis.
