On this segment of "The Strange Reality with Dave Emmons," my guest is a sci-fi novel writer who takes actual archeological history and creates stories. My guest is N.L. Holmes, or Nikki Holmes, has written eight novels involving ancient real stories, mostly surrounding the Egyptian Dynasties. This show was recorded on 1-16-25. Nikki tells us about the fascinating link between historical fiction and today's political and cultural changes ( a timely comparison). She gives us insights into the reign of Akhenaten, King Tut's father, and his kingdom's turbulent dynamics. Nikki has been on dig sites in Greece and Israel, which has inspired her novels. Nikki (or Professor Holmes) tells us about her studies of the dynamics between a totalitarian regime and its servants.
Nikki explains how she crafted three series from one original idea, including "The Lord Hani Mysteries," "The Empire at Twilight," and "Hani's Daughter Mysteries. " After twenty years of service to the Church, Nikki gave up being a nun to get into Archeology. Doing fieldwork and teaching Archeology in College drove her to write these novels. Her main interest was the ancient Egyptian dynamics compared to the present-day political and cultural societies. You can find her books and work at https://www.nlholmes.com.
Her books are on Amazon and many other platforms.
