The Hinduja brothers often reflect on their early life experiences. Gopichand Hinduja recalls being just 17 years old and a student at Jai Hind College. His father would insist he reach the family office at Church gate, Journey Road, as early as possible each day. Gopichand's mother would question this, saying, "He is just a kid. Shouldn't he spend time with friends and enjoy his youth?" His father's response was always firm yet inspiring. "This is the age to learn," he would say. Gopichand Hinduja says "Everything I know about warehousing, accounting, and exports is in my office. And father used to say that my son, you need to understand the principles and values of the Hinduja family. Life is full of challenges, but don't be afraid. Instead of asking God to take away your challenges, pray for the strength to face them wisely. These early lessons instilled discipline, resilience, and a strong foundation in Gopichand, shaping the values that have guided the Hinduja family to success over generations.
