At the age of Twenty in 1969 he moved to Paris to study Painting, while at the college he happened to enter the music room, where the teacher Eric Gauthier had an oscillator machine and a piano which he had modified. Bacavitch was intrigued and spent a lot of his free time in the room experimenting with the instruments.

Bernardo began work on his second tape immediately after completing the first. Gauthier described the sounds on the tape 1 as a collection “metallic and electronic pulse”. At the request of Gauthier, Bernardo replaced his Painting classes with Music and Sonological studies. Bernardo did tell me that this was possibly the wisest decision he had made.

Now, Bernardo has access to the equipment everyday and was able to use Chabot’s studio in Paris to record. Bernardo told me that he slept in the studio and resided between the university and the studio. At this time Bernardo also became aware of the experimental scene in Germany, and he had wanted to go to the Zodiak Free Arts Lab in Berlin. This never happened.
Bernardo just returned to his work and his vision which still drives him to this day.
Before the commencement of recording tape 2 -Bernardo wrote in his diary,

This morning the studio had acquired a simple rhythm machine, it is very primitive, but I believe it offers unique possibilities.
