You Take It From Here – Part 3

Rom.8:14 Message Bible - God's Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!
We watched while God worked, then we did it together, then He watched, - Now as we are stepping into this new year, I feel God saying, I have taught you, now go – “You take it from here.” I’m not alone, He is right here with me, but He is wanting me to exercise my position in Him.

I asked us to individually be involved in something like spiritual mapping.
Choose someone to pray for every day. Choose a block, street, or an area to intercede for and commit to covering that area in prayer everyday as one assigned by the Father for “such a time as this.”

Revies from last week: You are the answer to some’s problem.
God wants your input as to what you want Him to do with / through you for others.
Sit down and dream with God, then pray those dreams.
God is saying “Let Me hear what your dreams are.” “What is your faith-based imaginations?”
Ask God to fulfill the hidden dreams He placed in your heart - those unborn promises that seem unlikely to happen in the natural.
Walk out what you know the Father would do if He were in your situation.

What is considered the job description for Jesus?
Text: Philippians 2:3-7, Luke 4:18-19

Phil.2:5 makes this our job description as well.

Do you remember the song “Heart of Worship” by Matt Redman?
This morning, I want to change the words just a little.
“I’m coming back to a heart of purpose, and it’s all about You, It’s all about you Jesus. I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it. When it’s all about, You, It’s all about you Jesus.”

What is living life on purpose?

When it comes to Christian activities, why do we do what we do?
What motivates us? The Father’s heart? Our traditions? Our feelings?
What am I passionate about?
The passions I give myself to will steer and rule my daily life.

Is what I’m doing aligning with my purpose?

What are the results of being ruled by my passion for God?

Lately, as I stop and pray for my person, for the block in SL I chose to intercede for, as I practice stopping and loving Jesus I keep being moved by: My love for Jesus and having the Father’s heart must be / HAS TO BE / DEMANDS to be the foundation for why I do what I do.
Not: obligation, routine, self-worth, guilt, etc.
I NEED the heart of the Father!

“God, move our hearts with what moves Yours.”

Lk.4:18-19
The Spirit of God is upon – in you.
You are anointed to bring good news to the poor
You are anointed to heal the brokenhearted,
To call forth liberty to the captives,
To call forth sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed / bruised / in bondage.
To proclaim the time of the Lord’s favor is here.

Jesus quoted this from Isaiah 61:1
Ver.4 “They will rebuild the old ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
(NIV)
