More than 100,000 protesters gathered in Central London for a pro-Palestine march ahead of a ceasefire in Gaza.

Originally approved in November 2024, the march faced stringent restrictions imposed by the Metropolitan Police, including a last-minute amendment the day before limiting the protest to a static demonstration. Police lines blocked protesters from marching, further escalating tensions.

With police permission, the march moved peacefully to Trafalgar Square, where demonstrators laid flowers in a symbolic gesture of condemnation, accusing the BBC of complicity in its coverage of Gaza.
