Beyond the Time Barrier (1960) - Colorized Edition
Synopsis
"Beyond the Time Barrier" is a 1960 science fiction film directed by Edgar G. Ulmer and starring Robert Clarke. The film explores the themes of time travel, post-apocalyptic survival, and humanity's uncertain future.

The story follows Major William Allison (played by Robert Clarke), a test pilot who inadvertently breaks the time barrier while flying an experimental supersonic jet. He crash-lands in the year 2024, where the Earth has been ravaged by a devastating plague and nuclear fallout. The remaining survivors have retreated to an underground city ruled by the enigmatic Supreme.

In this dystopian future, the human population is divided between the telepathic mutants known as "The Degenerates" and the untainted descendants of the original survivors. As Major Allison uncovers the truth about Earth's tragic downfall, he becomes entangled in the political struggles of the survivors and faces the challenge of finding a way back to his time to prevent this catastrophic future.
