There is another way that the Bible uses the word “weak”.
Believers should recognize their weakness before God. Some believers haven’t learned that we are utterly helpless apart from the grace of God. When He commands us to do something, we cannot obey it without the power of the Holy Spirit which we receive through grace.
Read: Acts 14:1-14, 19-20, 2 Corinthians 12:1-10
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me-- to keep me from exalting myself! 8) Concerning this I entreated the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9) And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10) Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Believers who are oriented to the grace of God realize that they are exceedingly weak when they rely on themselves when facing the exigencies of life.
They are strong when they are weak, because when they face the challenges that we all face, they rely in the omnipotent power of the Lord who will give us the grace we need so that we won’t be afraid, but be spiritually strong.
