In July of 24 PMI announced breaking ground on a new $600M factory in Aurora, CO to manufacture it's ZYN nicotine pouches. FDA had not yet granted "Marketing Orders" for ZYN. During the July 20, 2024 live stream, we predicted that they would be granted permission from the FDA to sell ZYN before the factory was completed. I suggested it was a foregone conclusion since Big Tobacco products get special treatment. PMI would never have made a $600M investment if they had not already been promised, and there would be no issues. Fast forward to January 17, 2025, 20 ZYN products were granted marketing orders, and the Aurora, CO factory is nearing completion.
