Town with the Golden River - Kucevo Serbia

Kucevo is a town in the eastern part of Serbia, situated in the valley of the gold-bearing river Pek. Kucevo has a long history because people have lived in these areas since ancient times, and the main occupation was mining, as evidenced by the archaeological site from the 3rd century BC. Kucevo was an important metallurgical center during the era of the Tribals and later under Roman rule. However, what Kučevo is most widely known for is the Pek River, which carries gold that can still be found today.
