“The Mystery of the Kingdom”
8th In our series the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians

I. The Mystery of Lawlessness - 2 Thessalonians 2:7-11
* A. The man of lawlessness is the Anti-Christ
* 1. Lawlessness is what characterizes every violation of God’s Holy Law - 1 John 3:4
* 2. The days preceding the Anti-Christ will be infused with widespread lawlessness
* B. It is a mystery because God alone knows the timing and the nature of that lawlessness
* 1. God’s Laws proclaims “Thou shalt not murder”
* 2. God’s Law proclaims “Thou shalt not commit adultery”

II. In Contrast is the Mystery of the Kingdom - Ephesians 1:7-10
* A. This mystery of God’s will is revealed to the true disciples of Jesus Christ
* 1. This truth can only be understood spiritually by the power of God
* a. Those who have not repented, believed and received cannot know or comprehend the mystery - Mark 4:11
* b. To them it not only doesn’t make sense, it is rejected as foolishness - 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 
* 2. The Mystery is regarding the full manifestation of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ
* B. The Kingdom will be fulfilled 
* 1. In its fulfillment all things will be reconciled to Jesus Christ - Colossians 1:19-20 
* 2. There will be no rebellion or disorder at all in the entire universe
* 3. Thus those who remain rebels will have only one place
* a. Satan and his demons locked away - Rev. 20:10
* b. The Final Judgment - Revelation 20:11-15
