Residents in parts of northeast Wisconsin woke up to flooding and storm damage on Tuesday. In the city of Fond du Lac, public work crews were busy at multiple intersections in the city. Crews are pumping water to prevent residents’ basements from flooding. The area has seen about 2 to 4 inches of rain and it’s been raining non-stop. The area is expected to get as much as 10 inches. With this heavy rain it's critical to be safe out there while driving. Drivers are asked to remember the phrase: "Turn Around, Don't Drown". According to 511 Wisconsin, its takes just a foot of rushing water to carry away a small vehicle and just two feet to carry away most vehicles. So, if you see rushing water, play it safe and find another route.
