'Selfish and misguided': Parkland father criticizes jury on Nikolas Cruz sentencing [Flokossama]

Tony Montalto, the father of Gina Rose Montalto, 14, who died in the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, delivered a victim impact statement during Nikolas Cruz's formal sentencing hearing. Cruz, who pleaded guilty, will be sentenced to life in prison without parole after the jury did not reach a unanimous decision on the death penalty.

In his statement, Montalto said the jury did not follow the law, and was "selfish and misguided."
