My first-generation Sony ZV-E10 is a great little camera but has a very poor battery life. I needed a way to save myself the effort of continually changing batteries when working in the studio and beyond. I needed a small, compact but powerful power bank, preferably with a USB-C output. This little unit, priced at less than £12 before discounts and currently with 20% off that already low price, fitted the bill.

In the box, I received the power bank, a decent quality USB-C charging cable and a user guide. I usually like to include a scan of the user guide for the benefit of prospective purchasers, but not so with this one as the guide is useless, uninformative and badly written. That does not matter much as using the power bank is not rocket science.

At 170g the power bank is quite heavy for the 8.2 x 6.1cm size and feels reassuringly well made and upmarket in the hand. On the front is a large plastic panel housing a small and rather dim LED screen displaying the current battery status with below it the recessed and rather hard to locate power button. On one end is the USB-C input/output port and on the other the USB A output port.

Charging the 10000 mAh capacity power bank is done through the USB-C port and takes between 6 and 8 hours. The front panel display shows the current battery charge level.

The power bank can charge two devices simultaneously at a maximum rate of 22.5w for the USB A port and 20w for the USB-C port.
USB-C: 20w. FAHEFANA claims that the 22.5W fast charging can charge your phone from 0% to 60% in half an hour, and the 20W fast charging can finish charging your iPhone in 3 hours. I don't have an iPhone and so cannot confirm that, but I have to say I have been happy with how fast it charges the various devices I have tested it with.

At the end of the day for £12 you can't complain and indeed, why would you want to for what you get here.
