"Sully" is a 2016 American biographical drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Todd Komarnicki. The movie is based on the true story of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who becames a hero after landing a commercial airliner on the Hudson River in 2009.
The film stars Tom Hanks as Sully Sullenberger and Aaron Eckhart as Jeff Skiles, the co-pilot of US Airways Flight 1549. The movie follows the investigation into the miracle landing and the subsequent media frenzy that surrounded the event.
