Kisagotami Meets Mara the Evil One.

The story of Kisagotami, the distraught mother of a dead child, is one of the most famous stories of the Pali Canon. After her lesson from the Buddha concerning life and death, she joined the Sangha of Bhikkhunis. In this sutta from the Samyutta Nikaya, the Enlightened Kisagotami encounters Mara, and sends him away sad and dejected.
