👏 Iranian Woman Removes Cleric's Turban, Wears It As Hijab In Bold Protest
According to Iran International, the woman confronted the cleric for allegedly harassing her about not wearing a hijab.

A video from Iran showing a woman confronting a cleric at an airport in Mehrabad is going viral on social media. In the clip, shared on X by user Navid Mohebbi, the woman, seen without a hijab, angrily removes the cleric's turban and places it on her head like a scarf during the altercation. "So you have honour now?" she says to the clerk, before searching for her husband and asking "What did you do to my husband?" The exact date and cause of the initial confrontation is unclear.

Sharing the video on X, Mr Mohebbi wrote, "Brave Iranian Woman Confronts A Mullah in Iran. Mehrabad Airport: A woman without a hijab angrily grabs a mullah's turban and wraps it around her own head. It appears the mullah had previously argued with her".

Iranians parliament speaker in Ethiopia for talks

Upon his arrival in Addis Ababa, Ghalibaf was welcomed by the speaker of the Ethiopian House of Peoples Representatives Tagesse Chafo and his accompanying delegation.

Before leaving for Ethiopia, Ghalibaf said that considering cruel sanctions against Iran, Ethiopia is a great opportunity for other country's economic development through BRICS.

He stated that this trip is being made to develop relations with Africa because today Africa has over $1,200 billion in trade, adding that unfortunately, Iran’s trade with this developing continent amounts to only $200 million.

He said that regarding the oppressive sanctions Tehran faces, Ethiopia represents a significant opportunity for Iran's economic development through BRICS.

☪ Islamic Republic News Agency: “Iran has always stood by oppressed Muslims: Speaker”

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stressed that Iran has always stood against oppression and is the only country that supports all Muslims.

Iranian delegation led by Qalibaf arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday for an official visit to Ethiopia.

In one of his meetings in the visit, Qalibaf held a meeting with the Head of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council known as the Majlis, Sheikh Ibrahim Tufa.

"We have different religions in Iran, and in the Iranian Parliament, not only Shia and Sunni representatives, but also Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians have representatives," Qalibaf added.

Referring to the Sunnis in Iran's government, Iran’s Parliament Speaker said that as many as 26 Sunni representatives are currently in Iran’s Parliament.

Praising Iran's role in supporting the Muslims of the world, Sheikh Ibrahim Tufa, for his part, said that "we consider Iran a symbol of the Muslims of the world".

Iran's standing against the US and its supporting for Palestine and Lebanon is an honor for all Muslims, he added.

During his visit to Ethiopia, the Iranian parliament speaker is expected to meet high level government officials to discuss issues of enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Ethiopia and Iran enjoy strong cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, tourism and technology transfer.

The two countries have maintained formal diplomatic relations since 1950, and the visit is a landmark diplomat tour to strengthen bilateral relations of the two historical countries.
