On today's episode, Jana and Reata recount different occurrences of rest throughout the old testament to better understand God's desire/idea of rest in our daily lives. They begin by looking at the first mentions of rest in Genesis, noting that God blesses the sabbath and declares it Holy. Additionally, they explore the idea that God rested on the seventh day and utilized the time to reflect and relish in his good works. Next, they dive into different connotations of the word "rest" by the word's appearance in the story of Noah. Reata sheds light on how the different references can provide clues and insights into God's interpretation of "rest".

Furthermore, they converse about the fact that the Israelites never entered rest with God, as a result of clinging to the old ways/thoughts; providing a tangible example of how ignoring God's commandments leads to consequences and denied abundance.

Lastly, they entertain topics such as the connection between the number 7 and the sabbath, the placement of "rest" in the 10 commandments and Reata proposes the theory that rest may be a requirement for bearing fruits of the spirits.
