As a professional marketer and an electrical enthusiast, It drives me crazy when I see electric space heaters being sold with all kinds of claims that don't match reality.

Some electric space heaters claim that they are ideal for rooms up to 300 sf while others claim to be ideal for rooms up to 100 sf. So what's the difference? The truth is that it's usually nothing.

Well, the size of the unit changes. So, if you have a huge space heater, you may not want to place it in a small room. However, they are both going to put out 1500 watts worth of heat.

Almost all electric heaters in stores will draw 1500 watts, and that will be converted into electricity in the exact same way, no matter how fancy the case or box is.
