A major study made headlines when it linked America’s second-most commonly prescribed drug in older adults, Levothyroxine (a thyroid medication), is linked to bone loss and ultimately, osteoporosis, a debilitating bone disease. Should everyone stop taking this medicaiton immediately? We discuss the study and what it actually means for those dealing with low functioning thyroid.
