Las Vegas police respond to barricade in northwest valley

Las Vegas police are asking the public to avoid a northwest valley neighborhood following a barricade.

It happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 7200 block of Grand Palace Avenue near Ann Road and Rainbow Boulevard.

Police told 8 News Now a member of a family threatened the family with a knife and then refused to leave the home. The family was able to leave the house, and no injuries were reported.
