Former Henrico Doctors' Hospital nurse Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman was taken into custody and charged with felony child abuse and malicious injuring. The arrest comes as the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) looked into unexplained fractures in premature babies. Between 2023 and 2024, Strotman, 26, is alleged to have injured at least seven newborns. To protect patients, the hospital has stopped admitting patients to the NICU and is working with the authorities.
