Senator Marco Rubio, President-elect Donald Trump's pick to be U.S. secretary of state, said on Wednesday (January 15) both Russia and Ukraine will need to make concessions to end the war in Ukraine. "It's going to be hard work," Rubio said at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He said he hoped a ceasefire could be achieved in the conflict but both sides need to have leverage for that to occur.
