My intent is to play each part of this game. I plan on one video each week that will last approximately 50 - 60 minutes in length.

ABOUT THIS SCENARIO

scenario ideal for 1 to 3 players, with the Byzantines, Seljuqs, and Fatimids as the major powers.

Three extra minor powers are also available: Croatia, Apulia, and Georgia.

By 1059 AD, the Byzantine army and the eastern defenses were in poor shape, due to a series of bureaucratic-minded emperors determined to break the power of the aristocratic military elite. This made it ill-equipped to face a rising new power on the scene, the Seljuq Turks.

The Seljuqs had invaded from Central Asia in the decades preceding, sweeping aside the Ghaznavids and Buyids in Persia and establishing their capital at Isfahan. Fervent converts to Sunni Islam, their main goal during this period was to take on the heretical Shias of the so-called Fatimid 'Caliphate'.

Major conflict with the Byzantines was not originally envisaged ..."

Field of Glory: Kingdoms is the new game from award-winning studio AGEOD, makers of some of the best grand strategy games of all times. It is set in 1054, just after the Great Schism, and it encompasses more than two centuries of epic European, African, and Middle Eastern history.
