Xbox KILLED Indiana Jones and the Great Circle! Here's What Happened

The latest Indiana Jones outing was his best since The Last Crusade, but that isn't saying much. The game was beloved by critics, but forgotten by the audience. No one is playing it but a month from launch and no amount of cope will make it a success.

Xbox has a problem with their release strategy. As a first party title, it is a Day One release on Game Pass and in the short term, it's great for gamers. But now there are numbers suggesting a huge amount of revenue is being left on the table with the strategy. Microsoft will have to make a choice to wear Xbox as loss leader to maintain direct cultural influence, or get away from the dying subscription service model and recommit to making a competent console.
