David Meada has recently published a memoir about his career as an U.S. election administrator serving as the Director of Elections for the Minnesota Secretary of State from 2019-2024, a challenging time to lead a state through some serious questions about the state of our democracy. The memoir, however, is equally about overcoming mental health issues throughout his life through his love of music, cats, and friends. His heart has been broken many times throughout his life but David’s story is one of authenticity, raw intimacy, and looking at life through a humorous lens.
