Playing in the mud with my old handheld Soil Blocker Dirt Plug Press

Adding just enough water to get a consistency somewhere between mud and wet cement. Trying to over-pack the hand press, then squeezing out the excess water and smoothing the bottom and edges with a dough scraper. It's been a while since I last used this thing and my first one turned out way too flat, but you get the idea, right? This process is very forgiving, so if they get stuck inside the mold or don't turn out right, scoop up the mistakes, remix, and press out another one. It does help to use a small mesh-bottomed tray for them to drain on without falling through and also to dry out a bit before planting seeds in them. Yay! It still worked great and now I will soon have enough dirt plugs to plant 300 seeds in one tray!!!
