Horace Vere (1565 to 1635), also known as Sir Horace (or Horatio) Vere, was an English military leader renowned for his service in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. He was part of the notable Vere family, with ties to English and European nobility.

Vere became a distinguished general, particularly for his role in the Eighty Years' War (1568 to 1648), where he commanded English troops in the Netherlands against Spanish forces. His strategic acumen and leadership earned him great respect, especially during the Siege of Breda in 1624.

He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I and later appointed as Baron Vere of Tilbury by King Charles I. His cousins Edward Vere and brothers Robert, Francis and Horace Vere are remembered as key figures in England's military history during a period marked by European conflicts and the Protestant Reformation.
