PhD student explains Quantum Communications

Quantum is one of the Department for Science innovation and Technology’s five technologies of tomorrow and earlier this week we spoke to Karolina, a PhD student at the ‪University Of York‬ Institute for Safe Autonomy researching quantum communications.
Research in quantum communications uses quantum mechanics to develop encrypted messaging and to safeguard data transfer. This technology could be the future of secure communications used across industries including finance, healthcare and government.
