Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Leo Woodall and Quintessa Swindell‘s new show!
The 28-year-old SAG-winning actor and the 27-year-old Black Adam actress star together in the new conspiracy thriller series Prime Target, which will be available for streaming later this month.
Here’s the synopsis: “Prime Target features a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (Woodall), who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon, he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (Swindell) who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behavior. Together, they start to unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.”
Created by writer Steve Thompson, the show also stars Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee, and Joseph Mydell.
Prime Target will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 22, with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly every Wednesday through March 5.

“What if we’re not in control?” That’s a key question posed by Leo Woodall‘s Edward Brooks, a brilliant math post graduate student who’s close to making a huge discovery that takes him deep into a government conspiracy.
Black Adam‘s Quintessa Swindell also stars in the series which premieres January 22 on Apple TV+.

PREVIOUS, Oct. 24: Apple TV+ has set January 22 for the premiere of conspiracy thriller series Prime Target starring White Lotus and One Day breakout Leo Woodall and Black Adam‘s Quintessa Swindell. The eight episode series will launch with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly, every Wednesday through March 5.

Writer and director Brady Hood (Great Expectations) directed all eight episodes and also serves as executive producer. Napoleon director Scott is EPing alongside Marina Brackenbury, David W. Zucker, Ed Rubin, Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Series producer is Laura Hastings-Smith, who also serves as executive producer.

Leo Woodall is plunging headfirst into a spy series that’s like “Good Will Hunting” meets “Mission: Impossible.”
Woodall, who previously starred in “One Day” and “The White Lotus,” leads Apple TV+ series “Prime Target” as a mathematician who becomes wrapped up in a government conspiracy.

“Prime Target” is created and executive produced by award-winning writer Steve Thompson (“Sherlock,” “Vienna Blood”).
Woodall will also have major big screen role in “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy,” which is the fourth franchise installment in the beloved novel adaptation series.
Another upcoming Apple TV+ series with a January release is the highly-anticipated second season of “Severance.” The Emmy-winning show is executive produced by Ben Stiller, who also directs five episodes this season. The series is written, created, and executive produced by Dan Erickson. Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, and Christopher Walken star, with Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, and Bob Balaban joining the cast for Season 2. The AppleTV+ series has garnered 14 Emmy nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Directing for Stiller, Actor for Scott, and Supporting Actress for Arquette. The show will be released January 17, just a few days before “Prime Target” debuts.

Production
It was announced in February 2024 that Apple TV+ had greenlit the series, created by Steve Thompson.
The series would star Leo Woodall and Quintessa Swindell alongside Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee, and Joseph Mydell.[1] The series, already in production, will see all eight episodes be directed by Brady Hood.[2]
Principal photography took place in Windsor in May 2023, with other filming locations reported to include London.[3] Filming took place in Cambridge in August 2023.[4]
Release
Prime Target is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on January 22, 2025, with the first two episodes available immediately and followed by one episode on a weekly basis until the finale on March 5.[5]
