Hamas has reportedly accepted a draft agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of dozens of hostages – with 33 reportedly coming out at first, and more releases negotiated in later stages, but some hostage families and their allies marched in Jerusalem to protest any deal that doesn’t free all the hostages at once and in which Israel gives up hope of crushing Hamas in Gaza; increasing winds could provide more fuel for the wildfires around Los Angeles, even as firefighters have made progress against the widespread fires; Senate begins confirmation hearings of President-elect Trump’s nominees today, with possible fireworks over his choice of Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary; some state and other officials around the country plan to fight against Trump’s move to deport illegal immigrants, even as other local leaders support Trump’s plan; and the amazing light and sound show of the “All Creation Sings” worship experience at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC.
