Discover how to prepare Szechuan Chicken, a traditional Chinese dish that consists of a spicy stir-fry with crisp veggies, juicy chicken, and Sichuan peppercorns. It's the perfect weeknight dish that takes less than 30 minutes to prepare!

The ingredients include two large chicken breasts that have been cubed into bite-sized pieces.

Marinade:
Three teaspoons of cornstarch
One spoonful of vinegar made from rice wine
Half a teaspoon of white pepper
Three tablespoons of soy sauce
A pair of tablespoons of sesame oil
Additional ingredients: vegetable oil (for frying, if necessary)
One tablespoon of peppercorn from Szechuan
Five red chilies, thinly sliced
25 whole dried red chilies
One red bell pepper, chopped into small cubes
One yellow bell pepper, chopped into small cubes
One tablespoon of ginger, minced
Five minced garlic cloves
One chopped stalk of green onions
Half a cup of cashews or peanuts, roughly chopped and unsalted
1/4 cup of soy sauce with reduced sodium
Half a cup of chicken broth

Two tablespoons of mirim
Two tablespoons of brown sugar
One tablespoon of Asian chili garlic sauce
One tablespoon of hoisin sauce
1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, crushed
Half a teaspoon of powdered garlic
One tablespoon of optional sesame oil
One tablespoon of cornstarch
