Also, keep an eye out on who is going to come in and reap benefits and make loads of $$$ off this disaster, then you may have the real answers to questions you have about this. You may not think it is since the news will put out a narrative to run cover for whomever it is. After all, they are looking to get Pacific Palisades rezoned from R1 (residential single family housing), to R3 (multi-family/high density housing - apartments/condos etc.).
