Polish actress Barbara Rylska died aged 88

Polish theater and film actress Barbara Rylska has died at the age of 88. This was reported by the Union of Polish Stage Actors.

“We regret to inform you of very sad news. Barbara Rylska has died,” Onet said, citing the union.

The actress died on January 11.

Rylska was born in Warsaw on January 20, 1936. She graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Dramatic Arts and began her acting career at the Warsaw Comedy Theater, then performed at the Warsaw Ludowa Theater and then, until 2013, at the Kvadrat Theater .

She gained fame thanks to films such as “Tenants”, “Green Mansion”, “Adam and Eve”, “Wanted, Wanted”, “Julia, Anna, Genovefa”, and also acted as a singer. Rylska was nicknamed Polish Marlene Dietrich.
